Test adapters for printed circuit boards

IMAK Automation develops and produces individual test adapters and laboratory test devices for the test environments:

  • Incircuit-Test (ICT) and
  • Function Test

Based on the two basic concepts, the test piece can be contacted and/or flashed manually or pneumatically.

The test benches can be equipped with interchangeable cassettes to test different printed circuit boards. The incorporation of standardised interfaces enables fast, pneumatics connection to a switch cabinet or an in-line system.

The IMAK Automation engineers use a wide, rapidly available range of spring-loaded contact pins and high-current pins with test piece-dependent spring forces for gentle contacting of the test piece.

The materials used for all modules such as alternate contacting, test piece rack, interlock, pressure pad or housing are naturally already tested for ESD conformity in their development phase.

ICT adapters from IMAK Automation have the following features:

  • Gentle contacting of assembled printed circuit boards
  • Pneumatic, mechanical and in-line adaptions
  • Rapidly available contact pins, high-current pins, switching contact pins
  • Can be equipped with barcode readers and stroke counters
  • Spring-loaded pressure pad system
  • ESD conformity

Function test features are:

  • Contacting of assembled printed circuit boards and covered modules
  • Function test also in the high voltage range
  • Flashing of the memory modules
  • Pneumatic, mechanical and in-line adaptions
  • Gentle fixing and testing of the module
  • Can be equipped with barcode readers and stroke counters
  • ESD conformity

Laboratory test device Surface Touch Tester

Relevant aspects which can be perceived by humans when touching or feeling material surfaces are simulated as a reproducible measuring method under laboratory conditions by the RoughTec - Surface Touch Tester. This enables "feeled" properties to be included and objectivated in the selection and evaluation of materials and surfaces.

The measuring method is suitable for material samples without and with coatings such as leather, artificial leather, plastic, composite materials, rubber, textiles, paper, etc.

The RoughTec - Surface Touch Tester can be integrated as an optional extra into a haptic central system for the collection of measuring results.

Laboratory test device Softness Tester

The softness which can be perceived by humans when touching or feeling material surfaces is simulated as a reproducible measuring method under laboratory conditions by the SofTec - Softness Tester. This enables "feeled" softness or hardness to be included and objectivated in the selection and evaluation of materials and surfaces.

The measuring method is suitable for material samples without and with coatings such as leather, artificial leather, plastic, composite materials, rubber, textiles, paper, etc.
The SofTec - Softness Tester can be integrated as an optional extra into a haptic central system. Force sensors for forces of 500 or 1000 N can be provided for extending the measuring range.

Measurement evaluations: Force-distance diagrams, relaxation, penetration depth
